First thing to check is the date on the tires. Just because you know when you bought them doesn't mean that they weren't sitting around in the sun for 5 years before you got them. Go to "Tirerack.com" for instructions on where to look on the tire. But I suspect that whatever you find out, its going to be your fault whether it is or not.
