Not sure if it could be brakes - did cross my mind, but they wouldn't cause the tire wear, and they were just checked in July.
Also checked the spare last night - it's only about 25 miles, and I didn't go over 45mph. No sign or feel of any odd wear in that short trip.
If your brakes were just checked in July and your tire wear is since then, I would be wondering if they (or you) jacked it up incorrectly and bent something or left the bearings too loose...
I was pointing out that when the brakes were checked, it is possible that something was not done correctly that is causing the tire wear. for example, if whoever checked the brakes jacked the trailer up using the axle a foot inside the spring mount. This could have bent the axle and is causing tire wear. They could have not correctly reinstalled the brake drum on the hub causing an issue with the wheel bearings, etc... you get the picture.
