Good news - Cornerstone Warranty has approved covering a full axle replacement. That covers the drum issue as well. Bad news is I'm not sure why the drum was off-round, but I read on other forums that perhaps it was a lug issue (not torqued correctly). I check them with a torque wrench regularly, but who knows....They said the drum was off round and the brake shoe on that tire was far more worn than the others, almost like it had been doing the majority of the stopping. Presumably that will be checked an accurately tightened/corrected when the axle is repaired.
We had out of round drums on a previous TT from day one. The dealer kept saying it was our B/C. Took an entire year for them to pull the drums off and then they also found leaking seals. They had the drums turned.
Personally, I would not trust a dealer to work on this and would go to a trusted and reputable frame and axle shop with experience in RVs.
