I know tires are beat to death but 2 years ago I bought 4 new Duro tires for my 5th wheel. went on a trip to the outerbanks last weekend and had 2 blow outs and 1 looks like it was about to separate ...

IMHO and in all the research I've read from RV tire experts, it's not necessarily the brand, but other factors - sitting, out of balance, rig out of alignment, under inflation, over inflation, being overloaded, and traveling speed. After having a tread separation in 2014, our local shop replaced our tires with Maxxis, to them they are considered one of the best. Personally I was leery, but RV tech agreed with the shop. Since then, we've had them inspect the tires every year, do a spin test, balance, and rotate. Two years in a row, the same tire area was replaced due to problems (starting to separate). Under warranty, they were covered. After having the suspension bushings replaced and a new set of TrailAir suspension components replaced, our RV tech recommended we take our FW in for alignment. Sure enough, it was out of alignment. Back again to the tire shop for preseason inspection. All is well, tires are good to go for the season. We will follow the same routine in inspection even though it's a hassle to tow our monster to the shop. The peace of mind is well worth it.
