Calling them China bombs shows a lack of information. Here it is-

Even though this tire may not be right for your application-China Bomb (CB) is not applicable-well maybe 20 years ago some used them on this forum and they blew up.
You have posted that info previously.
If you like Carlisle - more power to ya!..:C
"Proven track record - over the last TWO years".
Hmmmmm - "Track Records":
FE stated he's had 22 or 23 ST tires on his 5th about 2 years ago.
Maybe he's found the "right" ones with a "good track record" now.
(Maybe OK for FE, but no thanks here to being the Carlisle "ST Test Trlr").
Until - there are lots and *LOTS* of miles (and lots more than 2 years) on the "new" Carlisle ST tires, the jury is out - and will be out for a long time.
Well deserved bad rep won't be easily overcome!..:S
Until then - Run forest run - away from Carlisle!
Many better choices / options with *genuine* proven long-term records.

On edit - from my original post:
(Besides opening with - "IMO")
"BTW - Mfg in China is *not* the problem, it's ST tire specs."Even Michelin has mfg plants in China.
"China Bomb" is a misnomer - the term should be -
"ST Bomb" !!GY Marathons were "Bombs" when they were mfg in the USA. - (USA Bombs?)
"Bombed" lots of trlrs - only positive thing is/was GY would pay for damage to RVs bombed by their tires..:W
