It's not like they always blow up. I had a flat tire this spring on my Mountaineer. Pulled it maybe 5 miles to a location that let me safely remove and replace the tire/wheel with the spare. The tire more-or-less looked OK, other than totally flat. If I remember right, they were at 80 psi.
