There it is... In a nutshell
Not necessarily so..
G614...made in the US
Run TPMS..inflated properly
Just under 3 years of age
At least 300 pounds below tire capacity on all four tires
In addition we have rig weighed every year, each tire separately, and adjust load to stay within capacities. We NEVER drive faster than 55 mph, stated clearly on rear of coach. We go to great pains to be as safe as possible, and still had a tire throw the tread Completely off causing lots of damage. The damage was instant..DH saw the blowout and stopped so quickly he could walk back and pickup the tread...so damage wasn't from driving on a flat. BTW, Goodyear paid all damages and bought us new tires because we kept carcass and sent it back to them.
We've come to the conclusion the biggest culprit is heat build up due to being too close to load capacity. We have upgraded to 17.5 tires and rims which now gives us more than 1,000 pounds of excess capability on EACH tire, and we are amazed at how much cooler these tires run...not to mention how much less the pressure rises...JMHO.
