To grease the ball or not?
Should you grease the ball? I have been but was just recently told I shouldn't.

I always grease mine. The few times I haven't it has been a bear to decouple,sometimes to the point of pulling the receiver pin.
I don't slather it on just a quick spray of lithium. wipe it down with a paper towel and no mess.
