- LwiddisExplorer IIIf you are willing to heft it, yes. Remember that water weighs 8.25 pounds per gallon.
- Seattle_SteveExplorerIf I were in your position I would gladly pay someone $20 a week so I wouldn't have to mess with it. Heck, I would pay twice that much...
- philhExplorer III'm too cheap to spend $20 a week (seen prices much higher than that). I don't find the tank dumping to be that much of an inconvenience.

i agree with Steve. as far as i'm concerned "that much of an inconvenience" means it's worth the $ to lay that job off on someome else. - navigator2346ExplorerIt would depend on how far I have to go to the dump site
- mosseaterExplorer IIWe do a lot of PA State Park camping, so it's something I take along often but don't use a lot. For me, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. If someone would pump my tanks for $20 at a state park, I'd likely pay it than not.
- dodge_guyExplorer IIPortable tanks are great, but I would never use it for the black tank, grey definitely.
- blaczeroExplorerThis site is grey hookups but black pump, so I'd be portable dumping black.
- Michelle_SExplorer IIIA 15 or 20 Gal Blue Boy gets really heavy in a hurry, so you could end up using it every few days, depending on usage.
I think I would pay the $20 once a week vs multiple trips per week with the Blue Boy. - Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe stick mainly to state and national parks, most without sewer hookups. Our four wheel 27 gallon Thetford portable waste tank gets a workout, but I don't mind using it to empty both tanks since it makes our stays more enjoyable. The longest dump run I've made so far is about 1.75 miles.
