Suburban if we want to transport 7 or 8 folks when we get to where we are going or a 2004 Mustang Convertible if it is just me and the Bride that need transporting. We have towed Contours, Escorts and Probes.BigAWB wrote:

I've wanted a mustang since they came out in'64 (childhood friend was son of Ford dealer-I got a lot of rides in a new Mustangs!) Now I'm finally able to get one (kids all grown). What tow set-up do you use?

Another vote for a Jeep Wrangler. 97-06 models are very easy to tow. Coil sprung suspension without the harsh ride Jeeps of the past are famous for. Manual or auto, doesn't matter. Transfer case in neutral, tranny in park or gear. They even have an ignition setting (one click forward) that unlocks the steering wheel, sends no power to Jeep, and does not rack up towed miles. Its all outlined in the owner's manual. Nothing to buy or modify except your tow set up.
Then there is the fun factor. Beach or mountain exploring.
But, We are a bit biased because we like that kind of stuff.
We like the places the Jeep can take us while camping.

We have towed a Jeep Rubicon, easy hook and un hook, never had a problem towing.
