Get an EZPass and go thru the dedicated EZPass toll lanes, even when towing. I have found that sometimes the toll collectors are not the on the ball when they punch in your toll. The automated lanes seem to count the axles and the toll is correct. The reason I say this is because in New York you can a motorhome EZPass that charges your motorhome at the discounted car rate.
