There are a lot of myths out there about tires.
One of them is all ST tires are only rated for 65 mph. Well most are, but not all.
One of them is all Chinese tires are junk, no but the cheap ones are. But then that is certainly true of cheap tires made anywhere.
One of them is the myth that you don't need to check your tires every day. While I don't check the pressure every day, I look at every tire before we hook up and hit the road, both truck and trailer.
Then there is the myth the LT tires are "better" then ST tires. Proponents of this myth often quote tire companies that only make LT tires. However if you check with a tire company that makes both LT and ST tires, they will tell you that ST tires are better for trailers.
The best advise is pay as much as you can afford for tires (for every vehicle) and look at them (for every vehicle) more often then once every 6 months.
