Ram mounts are versatile. Not cheap but sure are great.

Check out the 2018 trucks you can get all those cameras in one monitor it just costs $$$$$$.

Rear view mirrors, a map and watch 11 vehicles all the time. Unless I am changing lanes or backing up, I never look back, those guys are responsible for them selves. Red ad blue lights may attract me though.

that's the reason I went with the Garmin Nuvicam. It's my dash cam, gps and backup/rear view monitor all in one.

I use sticky-back Velcro tape to mount dash monitors on any dash real estate available.

You don't need to see the dash cam. It could be in back of some other device.

Is there some way of having one monitor for both rear views that can be switched between them? It seems to me you'd rarely want both simultaneously, and on the rare cases where you might it would be in a situation where a couple of moments fiddling would be acceptable (i.e. close maneuvering where it's going to take a little time regardless).

Many aftermarket car radios, particularly double-DIN ones with DVD players etc., have provision for a rear camera input.

Dutchmen -- Surely part of being skilled is knowing what tools make you more effective and using them when appropriate?

I have used Proclip , for mounting cell phones and gps in car and MH. They make an assortment of brackets specific to each vehicle , they mount in various areas of the dash or on console. You can then get different mounts and extensions for the various monitors.
The dash cam is usually mounted high on the windshield, behind the rear view mirror. Its there to give evidence or your good driving skills and that of the poor judgement of others.
Could the monitors for your rear observation camera and back camera be combined into one monitor with 2 or 3 inputs.
