Personally, I don't try or worry about it when we head out on our long distance travels. We have done as little as 200 miles and as many as 600 miles in a day. We do very little preplanning of stops,campgrounds,sites to see or roads. It's just the way we have moved or traveled the last almost 49 years. Never been lost or not had a place to stay for the nite. We don't do parking lots either.
