50 miles for each hour of driving is also my magic number. That includes bathroom/fix a sandwich/get fuel stops.
That rule of thumb has been our guideline for many years of travel and rarely lets us down. The only thing NONE of the tools can take into consideration is unforseen circumstances, i.e. accidents, weather, etc. One should always take these into consideration of a deadline is involved.
