Living in an RV is as much work as living in a small house and a lot more work than living in an apartment. You don't have a landlord to do the work for you and you don't have a yard to maintain. You do, however, have a house that hurtles through space at up to 70 miles an hour and all the problems that comes with it. You also have an engine and chassis to take care of, which, in the long run, will probably cost you as much as rent.
You really have to be able to downsize and keep it simple. Unlike a house or apartment (and more like a live-aboard boat) you must watch your weight. What ever chassis (motorhome) or frame (towable) you purchase will only hold a set amount of weight. And, if you plan on moving it occasionally, you must make sure there is not too much weight. If you collect things, especially big things and/or heavy things, you probably want to rethink living in an RV.
If you are living with someone else, it is probably a good idea if you like them most of the time. It is also probably a good idea if you are not anally inclined nor OCD. 250 SF or so is small. Very small. Any habit or messiness your partner has will be magnified. It is one thing to have a small house with two bathrooms and quite another to have one small bathroom in your living room. If the person makes you laugh, even better.
