OK I apologize for not following the link in the link the OP posted. Of all those brands, only Mobil is available in my area.
I know for a fact that the tanker that delivers the Mobil Station also delivers Fast Trac and another independent located on the same street.
Pitch, I am retired from hauling petroleum products for a number of years now. When you load a gasoline at a refinery or tank farm, the "branded additive" is injected into the gasoline right at the loading rack by computer control. The Top Tier companies have agreed to provide the "Top Tier" additives in their products in addition to their own "branded" additives. When I say "branded", I am saying that Mobil, and other, use their own special blend of additives, and if a station has Mobil (or a different "branded" gas) advertised on their pumps, the additive must be what is delivered from the pump into your tank. If the Station has a Mobil sign out front and does not have the Mobil sign on the pump, they are not required to deliver Mobil's "branded additive". Most refineries have their own special blend of additives that get delivered in all their gasoline products. So when the term "branded" is used, it refers to the special blend of additives a specific company uses. This blend is considered secret by the company.
The "branded" names I am most familiar with that require special additives are Mobil. Other brands I am familiar with that use special "branded" additives are Citgo and Arco, but they are not listed as top tier. This "branded" additive also takes place with diesel fuels too.
I worked for a independent petroleum transport company which contracted with companies, including refineries, to haul products to their stations. Some of our tankers/transports were dedicated with advertisment for particular stations while others were plain janes with our company's logo on them. You could find me in a Kwik Fill, Country Fair, Mobil, Citgo, Gulf, Sunoco, Hess, or any other station found in central and western NYS, the central and western northern tier of Pennsylvania, and north wesstern Ohio. If any of those stations required special additives, it was all added at the loading racks, either by my self, of by the computer that operated the loading rack,
