Torn Rotator cuff

My question is how long after the surgery can I hope to get back to camping. It's just now the start of the season and I have my reservations through August.
  • I have had both shoulders done. The worst part is the first 3 days after surgery. After that, physical therap a little hard at first, but I was back driving and just about anything in 3 weeks or so. Need to be careful about lifting and sudden movements,,, like catching something.

Also,, depending on which side your having done, if your right handed and getting right shoulder done... you might want to practice a certain little chore with the left hand. Wiping something,,, because unless you have a really loving, dedicated, loyal wife/friend, it gets a little hard to do. So practice a little. :)
  • It is David. Karen is learning to drive, but has yet to practice backing. Unfortunately, our site for most of the summer has a deep ditch across from it and trees on both sides. It is tricky for me. They are talking 6 weeks of doing nothing and 6 months of very limited movement. That's not me. Hoping I can do more than just sit.
  • Depends on how much the other half can do. (Not sure if this is Dave or Karen) You will be limited on driving for a short spell. So if the other half is comfortable towing and you can coach them through set-up you should be able to get camping pretty much right away.
