Just an FYI..
Here I am pulling a mountain pass in NC coming back from disney. We were heading up to mile high campground. 5300 ft
Imaging if I had a heavier trailer...lol This is 5600 lbs
30 mph, 1st gear, 3500 rpm. Thats working the 5.3 liter vortec..

Also note I added the biggest trans cooler I could fit, as thats any trucks weakest link IMO. You can see in the video trans temps ( left gauge) stays at a nice 175 f. I have two coolers now. See pics.
Now my weak link is engine cooling. You see right gauge im at about 230f.. ( Truck usually runs at 190f..)
So these are things you need to address .. Your trans will not last long if you dont get extra cooling, or a way to monitor it..
You need a good WD hitch too properly set up.. And you need to make sure its set up properly..
1. By the way. Whats the ratings say on the hitch?
2. Is it a weight distribution hitch?
