I'll add one thing in. Towing at no more than 80% of your ratings is a common rule. My personal rule, and I believe most would agree (if money were no object) that being closer to about 60% of max is a far nicer place to be. I've towed both ways, and will never again go back to 80% or more.
Local trips, once in awhile...no problem being at max. Any kind of traveling, you will regret it and eventually upgrade.
