Tow Dolly Strap questions
Got my Tow Dolly in yesterday. Played with the straps some with my Acura TSX. Had make me some extenders as the low front end wanted to drag. No test runs yesterday. Just practice strapping.
So today, I reloaded my TSX. Readjusted my straps as they were for the largest tire ever made. I have 17s but still need to lowest setting on the end as the anchor was riding way too high and medium across the top. Wish I would have take some pics as the piece across the top seemed to be way to close to the top a-frame/cross member - I was afraid this would rub being that close. So that piece is at 90 degrees - so my question is can I move that piece more like 10 or 11 o'clock rather that 12 o'clock? There is only one piece across from side to side.
Other than that, I seemed to a good hold of the tires. Ran down the road 5 miles and stopped in a parking lot. Re-tightened. Wasn't really loose but I got another click out of each side.
I did buy another pair of straps - different brand/style. I need a spare regardless of which ones I end up liking the best.
I do plan to make another trial run this weekend - won't make my maiden voyage for a couple of more weeks.
