Like some of the other commenters, I have also switched to microfiber towels. While cotton towels might get dry here in AZ, in the PNW they tend to stay soggy. Bought all mine in the automotive department at Walmart. Sure, they lack the decorative charm of 'real' towels but are a lot more practical. I also cut very thin automotive dept. microfiber towels (the ones that come in bundles) into quarters and use them for dish cloths.
