Amen bro!
Quadcab, you're one of the few folks who joined the board before I did in 2001. Here's what I would do before you pull the trigger on that new rig: Take your Nissan to the scales and get it weighed as it sits and compare that to your GVWR to get a real payload reading. many times mfrs will calculate "payload" rating using the stripper model curb weight against the GVWR. Get and weighed and see what you have to work with.
Double check those numbers on the trailer, sounds like Ron Gratz found different numbers that what you got at the show. Lots of times on new model TTs the specs change the first brochures that get printed don't have the right numbers. Figure that you will add 1500 lbs of stuff to whatever the dry weight of the trailer is. That's total lbs and includes propane, food, clothes, toys, etc. but not water.
Figure 13% on the hitch and see where that leaves you vs. payload. Titan is a capable truck, and it may be that you need to pack more stuff in the TT than in the truck. What I do with mine, I put everything I can in the TT storage to keep the weight of the truck down. Doesn't matter as much as it used to with the kids gone now though.
I would also strongly encourage you to get either a Hensley or ProPride hitch with a TT that long. Yes, will cost a couple grand but figure that into the price of the upgrade.
