The biggest oversight on both Samantha's and the salesman's parts was the fact that that 6355lb trailer doesn't stay 6355lbs:
Put sheets on the master bed. It's 6356lbs.
Put a stack of plates in the cupboard. It's 6360lbs.
Put propane in the tanks. It's 6420lbs.
Put a battery in the battery box. It's 6495lbs.
Put 2.5 weeks of food in the pantry and fridge. It's 6630lbs.
Put 30 gallons of fresh water in the tank. It's 6875lbs.
See what I'm getting at? That's over 500lbs right there and I'm just touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the stuff you'd load in a trailer for a 2.5+ week trip.
...and that's ASSUMING the 6355lbs is the true as-delivered weight of the actual trailer you were going to buy, and not an advertising weight for a base model with no options! If you have to add things like air conditioning, entertainment system, or the awning, the weight is going to shoot up higher, faster.
A safe bet is to assume you are going to end up at least 1000lbs heavier than the advertised trailer weight once you're loaded and ready to travel.
