We towed a 2005 4 cyl auto accord for many, many miles with no issues. Be sure to follow the prep procedure carefully on the car prior to towing.......
After hooking up:
Start the Accord and set the emergency brake
Shift into D1 and let idle for a few minutes.
Shift into D2 and let idle for a few minutes.
Shift into D and let idle for a few minutes.
Shift into N, being CAREFUL NOT to go into R and shut the Accord off.
Be sure to leave the key in the ACC position so the steering wheel will not lock.
Release the emergency brake.
You are good to go.
