I take number to mean if your rear weighs 5420, the front needs to weigh a max of 4580 to be with limits. (5420 + 4580=10,000)
My front being 4980 leave me with 5020 available for rear, even tho it's max rated at 6100. So I'm technically over by 400lbs on rear.
Tires are Yokahama Geolanders max 3195 at 80lbs.
I feel comfortable with my setup, just wanted to double check my opinion.
With the flatbed, weight of dog box, 10 X 60lb labs, and some water, and the weight adds up quick..

yeah, you sound ok, you're using your numbers differently than most do in here...IF we see 6100# rear axle weight rating.....and you go across the scales and drive axle (rear axle) is reading 5420# for example, that means you're under your RAWR by 580#....that's it..nothing more...nothing less.....you're over thinking it..... You're under your rear axle weight rating and you're under your front axle weight rating....that's it....
