I am sure someone will tell you to make sure that the weight you are talking about is real weight, not just the "dry" weight.

One thing you need to look at is the hitch on the Suburban. The hitches from the factory are notoriously weak - maybe a 5000 pound weight rating. There were some model year Burbs that had the hitch integrated in, and were very difficult to upgrade the hitch. Hopefully your Burb is not that MY.

I have an 03 Burb. I upgraded the hitch to tow my 6500 pound boat. It was honestly shocking how flimsy the factory hitch was. And my Burb is a 2500.

The hitch does look like it is integrated into the frame of the suburban. If it says 8100 and i am few pounds over once the camper has stuff in it, does that pose a dangerous issue. I have heard that the manufacture always errors on the side of caution and puts the number a little lower.

That 8100 pound rating is for a bare bones vehicle with one 150 pound driver. Once you load your family the 1500 series suburbans are honestly hard pressed to get out of thwir own way.

besides getting a new vehicle how can i add towing power to it

The closer you get to the max capacity of your tow vehicle, the more uncomfortable it gets to tow. The suspension will bounce and the back end of the suburban will sag. It takes longer to stop and you'll feel the wind and get pushed around by semis.

It's hard to upgrade the tow capacity on your vehicle because there are a lot of factors. You can replace the rear-end gears to get a better mechanical advantage, but you'll still have braking limitations and the frame and suspension will be stressed.

The only thing I can recommend is to take your rig to a scale and get an accurate weight of the vehicle and trailer. If you're close to the max rating, drive a little slower and give yourself more room to stop.

what do you mean by how it ends?

Prolly means, You need more truck. By the time you load that TT. You will be over loaded. And while you can add power. And adding power is really spendy. Not much you can do for the GVWR of your TV. And there is a real good chance you will be over the hitch rating as well.

Is it safe. IF you get the it setup perfectly, and you are not over your hitch capacity. prolly so. Will it wear out your TV faster? Yep. Will you enjoy towing over your capacities. Up to you. But I doubt it.

too close to max pull weight. get a lighter trailer or bigger tow vehicle. what toy do you want to carry? that will put you over limit.
