- rhagfoExplorer IIII don't carry the max load on my tires either front or rear towing. I air according! Fronts around 60 psi and rears 70 to 75 265/75-16 E's.
Running over aired will wear the center of the tread faster than then the outside edge. Under inflating will result in heat buildup and outside edge wear. Too much heat may result in a blowout. - wandering1Explorer

You can air all of them up to the maximum pressure on the sidewall of the tire. That's what I do when towing.
Smart way to go. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIYou can air all of them up to the maximum pressure on the sidewall of the tire. That's what I do when towing.
- Passin_ThruExplorerI run mine at 90 on my Peterbilt.
- BarneySNomadI run my truck tires at 75psi front and 80 rear. The trailer tires I run at the max sidewall pressure at all times.
Barney - Keith_HawExplorerI'd air them to the recommended pressure posted on the truck. That's what your tow rating is partly based on.
- DanAndJamieExplorerNo, I think he's serious and don't call him Shirley... Sorry, couldn't resist.
