GM has the power cut off feature on there late model cars. After 10 minutes or so power is shut down to various functions in the car.
Does anyone know if the power is cut to the 12 volt receptacle where I plug my Brake Buddy into? I would think that power IS NOT cut to the brake and tail lights through the brake pedal switch because of safety regs. Thanks in advance. Wireman
Your dealer may be able to program the ECM to keep your power port on.
Failing that look for an accessory outlet extension that has a wire about 10' long. You can cut the male end off and put ring terminals on it and fuse holder, then connect directly to the battery.
