Towing Doubles

It is legal in some states. I don't know which ones.

Lots of people do it. Never saw a jeep towed behind. Usually a boat or quad trailer. But like mentioned it isn't legal everywhere.

It's legal in Utah with 5th wheel and bumper pull trailers. I have towed double for the last 10 years but last fall sold my TT and flat bed trailer and the first of Feb ordered my first toy hauler.

IIRC, East of the Mississippi there is only one state (along the Eastern seaboard) where towing RV doubles is legal. Sorry, I do not remember which state that was.
It has been a while since I researched this, so laws may have changed.
West of the Mississippi, towing RV doubles is legal in most (but not all) states. There are some restrictions as to driving licensing, and some states require the first trailer to be a fifth wheel hitch.
Note that just because you see commercial doubles on the jhighway does not mean that you can do it with an RV.

Towing doubles is legal in most states. The costal states, for the most part, is where it is not allowed.

I have double towed since about 1999. Tens of thousands of miles at this point. I've towed countless boats, and my ATVs. If you have it set up correctly (read a qualified welder add the hitch on the back of the first trailer), it is very uneventful.

The biggest down side is fueling up, and the bounce you get by the tongue weight of the 2nd trailer. I imagine you wouldn't get very much bounce at all towing a Jeep as the second "trailer".

Not something we see every day. But certainly not uncommon around here.

Common summer sight here is a Class A towing a truck towing a boat or large trailer.

Guess you gotta move your toes somehow.
