Won't hurt a thing. That rpm and lower overall gear ratio is actually easier on the engine and torque converter than running in O/D. My old '75 1-ton Dodge van that didn't have O/D used to run over 3k rpm on the interstates towing or not. Other than rust, I never had a problem with it.
