Been running at 4200-5000 RPMs when needed for 7 years. Still runs like a top @ 106,000 miles. Doesn't smoke, use oil or drop gas mileage. There are a few hills that required me to go down into first and run at 4000 RPMs, and this usually brings the fan on line at 100%. I've had the trans temp warning go on twice on the same hill in Cumberland MD. These new gas engines are built to spin. That's where the sweet spot in the power band is. It won't hurt it. Turn the radio up if the engine music bothers you. I kinda like to hear them work. Keep up on your maintenance and use the pedal.
