Uh, do you know where the Toyota 5.7L trans runs its ATF temps? You better check yourself. They run around 200 constantly and is thermostatically controlled.
And its great you found a trans that can lock up in all gears dating back to 2000. Way to go. Now find another, current trans that does. May be this is common today and I am not up to speed, but heck if this is common knowledge even for those who pay attention to this stuff.
