towing jayco x17Z hybrid with 2015 toyota 4runner rear wheel

Bought a new 4runner to tow x17Z hybrid.Read you need a custom frame mounted hitch since 4runner is cross member mounted and is not recommended to be used with w/d hitch.Is this correct and where do y...

Do you really need a WD system with a 17 foot hybrid trailer? The weight limitations should be either in your owners manual or with many brands, stamped on the under side of the receiver. It's possible that you can tow it perfectly well without any WD system.
