towing jayco x17Z hybrid with 2015 toyota 4runner rear wheel

Bought a new 4runner to tow x17Z hybrid.Read you need a custom frame mounted hitch since 4runner is cross member mounted and is not recommended to be used with w/d hitch.Is this correct and where do y...

My luck wasn't good at all with Curt receivers on my '08 Highlander. First one didn't fit, second one didn't fit, third one broke after 1 year, fourth one broke after 3 years. Using a Draw Tite now.
