Towing Jeep with Mercedes 3500 BluTec Deisel

I've towed a 3000 lb boat with a 2500 blutec MB, I'm not willing to say I did not know the boat was back there. but overall, from a performance stand point, It was fine. The van I ws driving is a cargo van, it weighs all of 5500 or so lbs, so probably under 10K total.
With a proper hitch, brakes working on the jeep etc, you should be ok overall. Just remember it will not do as my dmax will, being as IIRC the specs of the motor is int he 200/400 range. But the 5 sp trans is pretty good for finding the correct gear.
