My wife has similar Escape as the OP. It is a great grocery getter, but just has a little 1 1/4 inch receiver. It is the Limited Edition, with V6 AWD, leather seats, all the extras. The door sticker payload is 1033. That is a lot of groceries. I have to carry them in at home. I sometimes wonder if she is over the payload!:)
