- Jim_ShoeExplorerWhen I'm moving in the MH, I always drive with lights on (low beam) during the day. I want other drivers to see me, and it doesn't run the battery down.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIISix of one and half-dozen of the other. IMO anyway.
- dodge_guyExplorer III can see an on coming car during the day without issue. no lights necessary. GM tried this years ago with the NHTSA, and it didn`t go anywhere. all the research showed it didn`t make a anyone any safer.
I`ll put them on in the rain and at night, that's it.
Now I will illuminate them at the campsite! gotta have everyone notice me there!!! :B - Desert_CaptainExplorer III

Lights on makes you more visible.
X2 Can't think of a down side to having them on. :C - downtheroadExplorerMakes sense that the more visible you are adds to the 'safety' factor.
Lights on makes you more visible. - donn0128Explorer III think our neighbors to the north have it right. DRLs on all vehicles. I also subscribe to the wipers on, lights on theory.
- DutchmenSportExplorerWell, at night it will make a difference!
My truck lights come on automatically, so I never worry about it. But during daytime, I think the only rule that should apply is, ... if the windshield wipers are "on", then headlights need to be "on" also.
Follow the rules of your state ... 30 minutes before or after sunset (which ever, I can never remember). Rest of the time ... I don't think it matters. An RV is not like a motorcycle. They are pretty big! You can see them coming down the road a pretty good distance away even without lights!
