Here's the additional information requested -
TT is a 2013 Coachmen Freedom Express 292BHDS Liberty Edition, 33.5' total length. The yellow sticker indicates the ship weight was 6400 lbs (I think).
Tires are BFG All Terrain T/A KO; LT 285/75R16. They are D rated PR8.
The winds yesterday were out of the west at about 15 mph. I do realize that could be somewhat of an issue, but there's a big difference it being pushed by the wind and floating all over the road. Or both in our case! lol
I guess I forgot to unhook the hitch while sitting on the scales. We'll have to do that next time. I was lucky to get back for the second weight after unhooking.
To APT - How do you suck the hitch down to transfer the weight. Your response reminded me of more information... When we brought the trailer home, we towed it with my Expy. The bars to so tight my husband needed a crow bar to get them off. He was pleased to see with the adjustment to the truck, the bars could be removed by hand, no prying necessary. Maybe that's not such a good thing? BTW, we took the rig to a local dealer to do the adjustment to the new TV, so assumed (hoped) it would be done right. Sounds like a re-adjustment is in order?
I have to stay on this until it's fixed, so I really appreciate all your replies.
