There is "probably" something wrong with the front end, but a competent shop will look at the whole vehicle. There can be problems anywhere. Bent frame, bent rear axle housing, loose suspension components anywhere.

Your problem is not your hitch. You can adjust it all day long and not cure a "Wandering Ford" that wanders alone.
