I think you are going the max for your rig. IMO you don't have enough truck.
Really? His TV is rated for 12K, the trailer's gvwr is under 10K.
Yes but with a family in the burb and the tongue weight of that heavy TT he is at or slightly over GVWR on the burb. Also the burb's 130" WB is relatively short to control a long TT like that.
Honestly if I didn't have my Hensley Arrow, no way you would catch me over 55 mph. Maybe if I had a 350 crew cab as @64thunderbolt suggests...
Every rig is different, every driver is different, I have passed RVs and been passed by RVs....I've also seen all the posts on here of upside down RVs on the side of the road...so it's not fair to criticize anybody for driving too fast OR too slow IMO.
I think I'm probably slightly under. The Burb had no problem getting up to 65 MPH and felt fine at that speed. I never felt like the truck wasn't enough. I just wanted to take it easy on my first long trip and figure out how to handle the 5% to 7% grades. Turns out it wasn't that big of a deal if I shifted down and let engine keep me at a speed I felt safe at.
With that said, I think 55 - 60 is max for me. I had it up to 65 after getting on a different, more flat, highway. But, going down the mountains is a different story - for me anyway.
