A friend's father took his 5er off into the ditch to avoid an oncoming car in his lane on a 2 lane rd. Witnesses said the trailer was on the pass side tires only. He managed to get it back on the rd. Try that trick with a tongue pull and see how quickly it goes wheels up. He was towing with a dually. Drunk teeenagers over corrected and rolled it killing all 4 occupants.
I regularly see burbs, short bed trucks etc squatted from too much tongue wgt wobbling all over the rd.
In downtown Phx in heavy traffic a gut had to swerve to avoid traffic stopping in frt of him and the trailer went wheels up immediatly. Was going about 45/50. I could go on & on but I'm done
I still say that a burb does not have enough butt for a long heavy trailer of any kind.
Don't take it personal, I have owned a trucking co and operated cranes & heavy equip all my life and just have the mindset that you need the vehicle that will do the job SAFELY. Just because the #'s work in a perfect world doesn't make it safe in real world situations.
