Oh, the needle might move, but that doesn't mean you have a problem. On longer freeway speed grades, my '06 Duramax would often heat up to about 2/3 of the way up the gauge. Transmission, too. And then the aux 'super fan' would kick in (sounds like a jet taking off!) and the upward movement would halt. We towed that pass w/ our '06 and didn't have a problem, up or down. If it is any consolation, there are hundreds of people who tow over that pass w/ all sorts of trailer and TV combos, and only a few are broken down by the side of the road! You'll be fine.
Your trailer is a lot heavier than ours, granted, but with your TV, you should be good to go. I'd likely just put it in D, t/h engaged, and try not to rear end any slow moving semis (seriously, that is one of the biggest problems on these passes -- slow trucks in the right and sometimes middle lanes going 25 mph!).
