There is a big difference in parked on your property versus on the street. When I lived in Central CA, the RV ownership was so high that you had at least 3-4 per street in a subdivision with an RV by the side of the house or in the back. When you live less than 100 miles from 3 national parks plus the Central Coast of CA, it's a natural demographic. I put in paved parking parking with a 30 amp breaker behind the fence on the side of my house and it was a huge competitive advantage when selling. I think the official rule was 72 hours on the street.
Now, parked on the street would have been a different matter. I'm a live and let live sort of guy but even the number of cars and work trucks that were being parked in the street could make driving difficult when larger vehicles were on each side. It didn't look great either. Still don't think I would ban cars but I support no RVs on street. Not many streets would be wide enough.
