After a recent blowout I found the brake wiring damaged on both hubs on the curb side of my trailer - the tire belts flailing about ripped the wires apart.
I took the opportunity to replace the flimsy wiring from Jayco. I ran 2 10 ga wires from the a junction block at the front of the trailer to a junction box above the axles, then 2-12 ga to each hub. All connections used crimp connectors and solder, in water tight boxes or shrink heat shrink tubing with silicone. What an opportunity!
I've had to turn the gain from 8 to 6 on my factory brake controller.
