Do the Jeep brakes lock up totally on their own, or do they just lock up when you use them in any way?
Do they lock up when you are not towing?
My first thought is that the added load of the trailer is causing the brakes to work harder, get hotter, and the calipers (if they are disk) or pads (if not disks) are sticking. Your old brakes were probably worn enough to not stick.
