I have the Sailuns S637s in 16" on my Raptor which has the same GVWR as your Carbon. Combined all 6 tires gives me a 24,480lb weight capability, ea tire has a 4080lb rating. With that being said, that in my opinion is plenty of cushion against overloading the tires. No need for 17.5s.
