Expensive stolen cars get shipped overseas all the time. Ship a stolen Airstream down to, say, Panama, dummy up some Panamanian paperwork and sell it to an American working in the Canal Zone. With the dummied up Panamanian paperwork, he could probably bring it back up the Pan American Highway and register it here.

It really is paranoia if they aren't out to get you. Or your trailer. This scenario may be speculative, wait, it is beyond speculative. Who would perpetrate the scenario described?
