Many of us can and will give you several routes to take, and there are several choices and a lot of people go that way each year. I think that you need to look at some of the options, and probably wait a bit later to make a final decision. With the way the weather has gone the last few years, it could be a toss-up. If another bad storm comes up the east coast, it could put a full stop on travel that direction. Down thru WVa. is a pretty drive, with mountains and steep curves, ans can be a real challenge. Of course over to I-81 and down is a good start, I-95 is more direct, but full of traffic. Get out your maps, and look at the options. Then look at the weather reports, and be prepared to change you route and plans depending on the weather.
