traveling with firearms
okay so i am going fulltiming may 1st . plan on wintering in texas next winter . so most of my travels this season will be out west ,,,as much as i can see . my question is about firearms . does anyon...

Now I have read about tons of people dying when people break in but hardly any killed by police kicking in the door. Maybe that's a Northern California thing?

Of course, the last paragraph under the Full list of states is wrong. You will go to jail in IL. CA, and NY if you have a weapon no matter what your excuse is-
"Federal law expressly provides that persons may carry a firearm in their vehicle while traveling through another state provided that the possession of the weapon is legal in both the states of origin and destination and the weapon is unloaded and carried in the trunk of the vehicle or a locked container other than the glove box. See 18 U.S.C. 926a"
